What we collect
If you just browse
- Nothing that identifies you. The site doesn't use advertising or analytics trackers and doesn't look up where you are.
- Your browser's language setting, to choose English or Spanish.
- One cookie remembering your language choice, if you change it.
If you arrive through someone's referral link
- A cookie, kept for 90 days, recording whose link you used. If you use another person's link later, theirs replaces it.
- That a visit came through that link, and when. The visit isn't tied to you unless you later sign up.
If you send a message or ask for access
- Your first and last name, email address, phone number, company and role, the subject and your message.
- Who referred you, if anyone. If you arrived through a referral link, that person is recorded and can't be changed; once you've signed up, your referral never changes.
- That your email address was confirmed, and when.
If you sign in
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
- Your language preference, saved to your account.
- A profile photo, if you add one.
- The projects you've been given access to, and your level on each.
While you use a project
- Which project pages you open, and when.
- Messages, files and images you post in a project's chat.
- Approvals you give, with the version and time you approved.
- Testimonials you write.
If you're a referring partner
- That you accepted the partner agreement, which version, and when.
- Your referral code and commission rate, and any changes to the rate.
- The commissions you've earned and the payouts made to you.
If you're a client
- The payments you make, so referral commissions can be worked out.
Referral commissions
If someone referred you, they earn a share of what you pay for your first project's proposal and build — never hosting, maintenance or later changes. Your price is the same either way; the share comes out of debugHive's fee.
Why
- To answer your message and follow up about work.
- To sign you in and show you only what you've been given access to.
- To keep a reliable record of what was approved, and when.
- To show the activity on a project to the people working on it.
- To show the site in the language you read.
- To email you, at most once a day, when a step on your projects changes.
- To credit and pay the person who referred you.
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- Damian sees everything above, including who opened which project page.
- Other people on the same project see your name and your chat messages, files and approvals in that project.
- The debughive.com project's chat is shared by everyone who signs in: anything you post there, with your name, is visible to all of them.
- Testimonials are public once approved, with the name and photo you gave.
- The person who referred you sees your name, that you signed up, and the commission and date for each of your payments — never the payment itself.
- Amazon Web Services runs the site in the United States (us-east-1): hosting and storage, the database, sending email, and scanning uploaded files for viruses. It processes this data on our behalf.
Cookies
Only the cookies the site needs to work: your language choice, the referral link you arrived through (90 days) and, when signed in, your session (30 days). No advertising or analytics cookies.
Keeping and deleting
Records are kept so the history of a project stays reliable: a removed chat message or approval is hidden from view, not erased. You can ask us to correct your details, send you a copy of what we hold, or delete your account, by emailing the address above.
Changes
